I know, I know – it’s been a while since I updated. Please forgive me – life has been really hectic!!! I will try to get you all caught up on the family today and then try to post some pictures tomorrow.
Jeremy, Rose and Mikah are doing really well. Jeremy had shoulder surgery in early September and is recovering very well. He continues to have physical therapy to get full use of his shoulder again. Rose has gone back to school to finish her nursing degree – we are so proud of her. She has also gotten a part-time job – I’m sure this was just to get a way to get break from Jeremy’s nagging at home!!!! hehehe!! Mikah continues to grow by leaps and bounds. We are going for to visit them soon, so I will get some current pictures of him then. Until then you can follow him at http://www.tennwheelers.blogspot.com/ .
Garrett is staying very busy. He did not return to D&E this year. He decided to stay in the area and attend the local community college and then transfer to JMU to finish his degree. What type of degree you ask? Good question – the last time I heard it is a history degree – but who knows what he will finish up with – I don’t think he really knows!! When he is not in class he is busy being one of the top chefs at a local restaurant. I really think that is his passion!!!
Kaili continues to grow – in every way possible. She seems to be getting taller every day. She is very happy that it is football season. I think that is her favorite sport right now. And don’t anyone worry – I have won the battle of the teams in the house – she is a Steeler fan. She continues to go to school everyday and learn more and more. There are times she will be playing with her toys and we all of sudden will hear her counting to 15, reciting her ABCs, the days of the week, a nursery rhyme, or a song of some sort. I have also heard her signing along to some songs as we go down the road in the van. She always wants to listen to her music – which consists of either Veggie Tales or praise and worship kids CDs.
Randy’s father is doing pretty good at this point. His hasn’t had any chemo treatments for two months now. As of the end of August, all his tumors had shrunk “significantly more than 50%”. He will go, again, for a CT scan sometime this week and we will get the results the following week. We are praying for a good report.
Randy and I – well let’s just say life has been hectic. It seems like every time we think we will have some down time – something happens. Our biggest project lately has been looking to purchase our first home. Last week was kind of a roller coaster ride with us making an offer on two different homes and for different reasons things just didn’t work out. Oh well – they just weren’t meant to be – well at least one of them – the other home still may be a possibility. Other than that Kaili has just kept us pretty busy.
Oh -- be sure to check out the blog on the right Jill's Expedition to Ethiopia , Jill is one of my freinds that just received her referral from Ethiopia!!!!!
